As it was in the beginning so it was in the end - a very easy and comprehensive victory to secure our 50th league title. On a very difficult surface the whole team played some excellent football with the choice of the goals coming from a solo effort by Mark McAllister. And unbelieveably we actually were awarded a penalty, yes a penalty! (albeit it was a soft award), the first in a league game I understand since February 2010 an amazing statistic considering the number of times we are in the opponents box. Well done to one and all and after an eventful 9 months with many highs and lows we are now Champions and now we look forward to the Irish Cup Final in just under two weeks.
Goal scorers: Michael Carvill (2), Peter Thompson (pen), Mark McAllister.
