This was the proverbial game of two halves. We struggled with their attack in the first half and could have been further behind if it hadn't been for a great save by Alan Blayney. We did manage to play some decent football but it all counted for nothing when we got in range of their penalty area as no-one seemed prepared to have a effort on goal. What a difference there was in the second half though when we took it to them and if it hadn't been for their keeper we would have won 6 or 7. Again playing good football we actually had some end product with excellent deliveries coming in from young Niall Quinn (what a revelation he has been) and some effective substitutions just at the right time. Daryl Fordyce's goal must be one of the quickest by a substitute having just come on the pitch he received a free kick took one touch and rifled it into the bottom corner then addiing the winner deep into injury time.
Goal scorers: Albert Watson, Daryl Fordyce (2).
