Decent game against a very physical Crusaders team who every time we play them seem content to live up to their nickname. On a difficult surface we got the ball down and tried to move the ball forward from defence and for long periods of time controlled the game. Yes Crusaders had a number of opportunities when we again were uncertain at the back but failed to capitalise on any of them and it was left to a Michael Carvill strike direct from a corner early on to settle this game. So the first final of the season has been reached and it would be nice to claim the first trophy when we play Ballymena some time next month. Ironically it gives us the chance to lift the Co Antrim Shield for the first time since the 'Clean Sweep' season of 2005-06!

Goal scorer: Michael Carvill
