Fielding a completely different starting 11 from Saturday we started off well and in truth could have been a couple in front at half-time, instead we had to settle for a defliected Gary Browne effort after he turned well and shot from the edge of the area. Stewart Addis made a super save near the end of the half not long after Daryl Fordyce had missed a one-on-one with their keeper. In the second half Cliftonville had plenty of the ball and played it about well but until near the end of the game they didn't really penatrate our defence. Nevertheless we had enough chances to win more comfortably the pick of which was Michael Carvill going through on another one-on-one but their keeper blocked well. Nice to see Nathan Hanley back and throwing in an excellent variety of dangerous crosses.
Goal scorer: Gary Browne (2).
