Coasting at half-time when we could and probably should have been 5 or 6 up we ended up with a nervous last 15 minutes. In the second half the Whites, to their credit, took the game to us and at times we struggled to handle them although in saying that they didn't create a lot of chances and Michael Carvill was unfortunate with one that hit the inside of the post and came out. Contrast that to the first half when, after going a goal down in 4 minutes, we took total control scored three goals, hit the woodwork twice, created some excellent opportunities (one that Michael Carvill put just inches wide that would have been goal of season contender) and played some nice football. An excellent strke by Jamie Mulgrew rounded off our scoring after Rory Patterson had put us in front. More of the same as served up in the first half would do nicely this weekend but we must maintain it for longer periods during games.
Goal-scorers: Rory Patterson (2), Jamie Mulgrew.
