A truly deserved victory and one that will sit long in the memory. From start to finish we were the more accomplished team and ran out easy and comfortable winners. To be honest it could and probably should have been more. Albert Watson and Winkie Murphy were immense in defence and the midfield controlled the game for most of the match with the forwards chipping in and when we went 2-0 up never looked like conceding the lead. A sweet free kick from Michael Carvill in the second half that no keeper would have stopped and an excellently worked fourth from Jamie Mulgrew had us all purring and wanting a fifth which unfortunaterly didn't arrive. Nevertheless in the end a sixth double in seven years was accomplished and long may it continue!
Goalscorers: Mark McAllister (2), Michael Carvill, Jamie Mulgrew.
