It is hard to credit that it is now 280 minutes of football since we last scored against this lot and the way it is going it will be another long while until we do actually do! Yes we had the majority of play, which has been the case in all three games this season, but that doesn't win you matches if you can't put the ball in the back of the net. We can't be happy dominating games and taking nothing from them no matter what slant the manager might put on it. Today our defence looked decent enough but our midfield was shocking, they didn't take hold of the game until the last 20 minutes, and that is with players of the calibre of Mulgrew, Gault, Garrett and Fordyce. Up front too much is expected of the returning Peter Thompson and the man of the match Michael Carvill. Let's be honest about this, the team that we were playing today must rank as one of the worst glens teams in living memory - AND WE STILL CAN'T BEAT THEM! And as for the officiating - if that is the best that we have then maybe it's time to start sending them to other leagues to gain more experience and we get their officials in return - because the standard today was as embarrassing as us failing to win!
