Goals at last, well at least more than one for the first time since November 26th! In truth this was a comfortable win against a very poor Glenavon team who only offered something after they went a goal behind and we, for some reason, decided to sit far too deep and allowed them to come at us. They did press us well in the first half hence there were limited chances created but I thought we did okay, nothing exceptional but efficient and were maybe a bit unlucky not to go in at least a goal up. Billy Joe Burns had an effort that Davy O'Hare fumbled and with a bit of luck could have crept in instead of going round the post. The introduction of Aaron Burns (why he doesn't start on a regular basis is beyond me) at the start of the second half gave us an impetus we didn't have in the first 45 minutes and he created a number of opportunities which we failed to capitalise on. Good to see Rory Patterson get on the score sheet and of course Pistol Pete doing what he does best as well although I can't see the reason why he has to drop deep to defend. Again the officiating left a lot to be desired, but I guess what do we expect?
Goal scorers: Peter Thompson, Rory Patterson.
