A satisfactory performance on what looked like a difficult 4G pitch against a Dundalk team that took their chances two weeks ago that effectively killed off the tie. Nevertheless we created plenty of chances and had it not been for a man of the match performance by the home keeper we could, and probably should have been back in the tie midway through the first half; but we were hit with another disasterous defensive error that let them in for the opening goal. My main concern is that DJ still doesn't know what his best partnership is in the centre of defence which can't instill confidence in the rest of the team, get back to the pairing that done us so well until the end of November - Casement and Armstrong! Surely they are the future, if not who is? On a side note Dundalk certainly know how to use the long ball, certainly outdone us on it over the two legs!
Goal scorer: Michael Gault.
