Say what you want about this match but it revolved around one incident in the 60th minute when Albert Watson had to go off with a head injury to be replaced by Steven Douglas. We were 1-0 up at that stage and Albert was a colossus in our defence and along with Winkie Derry were having no joy in breaking through. Having broken through ourselves in the first half with an excellent goal by Philip Lowry we were good value for our lead and if we had been a bit more clinical we could have been further ahead. However it wasn't to be and we succumbed to what I would describe as a very average Derry City side aided and abetted by a very poor referee who gave us very little and seemed content to book players for very little. How again Barry Molloy escaped being booked again is beyond me.
Goal scorer: Philip Lowry.
