Excellent first half performance against an indifferent Cliftonville side who were swept aside with some very good football. From the moment Aaron Burns opened the scoring with an excellent strike until half-time we were dominant and although we added another fine goal through Michael Carvill we could and should really gone in at least 4 goals to the good at the half. To their credit Cliftonville came out and made a game of it in the second half but once we scored the third the match was over as a contest. We supporters have got to realise that we are never going to control the full 90 minutes against any side but going by some of the comments coming from the stands it seems as though a number of us expect to do so! Overall today's performance was one of our better ones in the last couple of months and certainly gives us something to build on in the coming weeks.
Goal scorers: Aaron Burns, Michael Carvill, Jim Ervin, Mark McAllister.
