Carrick Rangers (Home) - won 5-1

Another comfortable win over a very poor Carrick side. Although it took a while to get into our stride the result was never in doubt, their support gave a better performance than what was put out on the field. Again we played some decent football although unlike last week there was no stand out performances just a solid team performance. At 3-0 the game was well and truly over, surely that should have been the point at which changes were made but for some strange reason that didn't happen until the last 15 minutes. By the way hasn't Peter Thompson got and extraordinary record in the Irish Cup - 31 goals in 31 appearances - impressive or what? Anyway onwards into the quarter final and a home draw against junior opposition in either Coagh Utd or Newbuildings, so long as we take nothing for granted it should be our seventh semi-final in a row.
Goal scorers: Peter Thompson, Philip Lowry (2), Mark McAllister, Darryl Fordyce.
