Once again we struggled to get a hold on a game that we were clear favourites to win.. Too many long balls played to the front men in the first half meant we were just playing into their plans, In the second half we kept the ball down and played some decent football with the goals coming as a result. Carrick made it difficult for us putting 10, sometimes all 11 players behind the ball but nevertheless we have to come up with the tactics to get around this. Sometimes a change does the needful and so it panned out when Daryll Fordyce came on with about 20 minutes to go, setting two goals up and scoring one himself. Next up DC and if we can keep this going the last five games should be elementary and hopefully allow us a bit more freedom to 'express' ourselves.
Goal scorers: Peter Thompson, Jamie Mulgrew (2), Daryll Fordyce.
