Shocking, inept, out of his depth - step forward referee Arnold Hunter who had one stinker of a match. Normally I would be happy with a convincing win, which it obviously was, but rather than leave my comments to the end of the report I thought it better leading with them. I know people criticize the standard of the Irish League, unjustifyably in my opinion, but the standard of officiating has gone downhill remarkably over recent years hence it has a significant bearing on the standard of the games. The game itself was over after 12 minutes when we went 2-0 up with a lovely strike by Blly Joe Burns and we coasted through the rest of the game against a team who offered nothing, how they scored three goals in a recent draw against glentoran is beyond comprehension! The game finished on a high with a beautiful goal by Michael Carvill - one to watch out for. Overall a satisfactory performance keeping us firmly at the top of the table.
Goal scorers: Mark McAllister (2), Billy Joe Burns, Michael Carvill.
