The scoreline doesn't reflect the superiority that we had in this game. Well over 75% of possession, numerous chances created, at least 20 corner kicks, hit the post and the crossbar, I could go on but the fact is that we secured another 3 points which is the important statistic. Ballymena did create a couple of chances, one in the first half when Alan Blayney pushed a header onto the post and in the second half when two of their players got in each others way and they could only manage to hit the post when it looked easier to score. For me two players stood out a mile - Jamie Mulgrew and Michael Carvill both playing superb and running their 'socks off'. Once again the officiating left a lot to be desired but it didn't dent what was a very good performance.
Goal scorer: Philip Lowry.
