Ballyclare Comrades (Home) - won 7-1

In the end this was a comfortable victory but it certainly didn't start out that way. Once again it looked as if we expected just to turn up to win but a shocking goalkeeping error allowed Ballyclare to take the lead and us the wake up call we needed. Could have been an even more emphatic scoreline if we had taken all the chances we created along with some good goalkeeping from the visiting keeper. Good to see our front two getting five of the goals with Rory Patterson getting the hat-trick, some will say it was only Ballyclare we were playing but you can only beat or score against what is put in front of you. At least we are into the next round against Carrick.
Goal scorers: Rory Patterson (3), Philip Lowry (2), Peter Thompson (2)
