Truth be told this could ever so easily have been one of our most embarrassing results in recent memory. Not to take any credit away from the home team who never faded and kept going right until the very end, they led 4-3 going into the last couple of minutes of normal time and would have been worthy victors if it had stayed that way. It doesn't matter what eleven players were put out tonight we should still have had enough to win comfortably but once again the mindset just wasn't right. The football's not pretty either, far to often we rely on the long ball - I'm sure Rory Patterson must wonder what he's got himself into - the lad gets no service whatsoever from wide positions. Anyhow we scraped through tonight and now for Carrick on Saturday where we will need a 100% improvement.
Goal scorers: Rory Patterson (2), Aaron Burns, Robbie Garrett, Winkie Murphy, Mark McAllister.
